This is about as close as you will probably get to a T2 follow-on. Yep, that's right. it will be closer then TV . . . MUCH closer. :)
It does look like a souped-up version of T2. I love the aircraft too.
Indeed! And the buggy that they must have pulled in from TV looks cool too. TV had two things I really liked: Buggys and Grappling Hooks. I doubt we'll see the grappler, but the Mechs and vehicles look great.

Maybe you could use a grappler on the mechs. Like Luke did in Star Wars!

Errr . . . . those were Att-Att's or Snow-Walkers or something, not Mechs.

But yeah, that'd be cool anyway.

What I like about it is, it still has that T2 look; call it graphics, "cartoony", mojo... IDK but I like it! Vengence had a different look and feel to it, it didn't feel like T2, it was cool I won't get rid of the disk, but it's not my cup o' tea but this has the T2 "mojo"! I can foresee many future arguments with my wife over the new game and T2.

What would be really cool is name tags on the backs of the skins!!! It would make lancing DUNNA so much more fun (cause I could record it and hang individual frames all over my house, much like Sy Parrish did in "One Hour Photo" with the pictures of the woman). I would have coffee mugs made, T-shirts, curtains, coasters, towels....there would be no stopping me!!!

Does anyone know the extent of the vehicles? How many are there? What are they? How many people to man it? Do they have special DUNNA bumpers and bug shields?

Agreed. Ultimately though it does depend upon the "feel" of the game. Does gravity have the same feel, what about underwater, how do the vehicles handle, etc.

Does Dunna die with or without drool hangin out of his mouth?

Will Dunna fall to the left or the right when being shot in the head with a disk?

Will Dunna blow up the same way when getting hit by an Icey mortar?

I don't like the turn this convo is taking... and I have many recordings of Icey and Stup being reduced to dust vian my green jelly beans!

Gravity and the density of water are optional, I've seen several maps where the map creators "tweaked" the settings.

On days where I have to do homework, I just do it front of my computer screen, watching my recordings of sniping people heads (Duns, ice's, stupds, the "trout-masta", etc. etc.) and blowing generators up. And I'll tell you, those were good times. :P

OK, I watched the video and I have a concern. The maps look huge - which could potentially mean a lot of walking if I choose to stay on the ground in my mech. I don't want to play a game where I walk for 2 minutes, fight and die and then repeat. I hope that's not the case.

GAH! You don't know Star Wars' vehicles?! Battle of Hoth; Imperials used the AT-ATs, the giant behemoths that walked on the battlefield. They also used the AT-ST, the Imperial Scout vehicle (the smaller cousin of the AT-AT). Not used at all by the Imperials (at that battle) was the AT-PT, the Anti-Personnel Tank (smaller than the AT-ST). The Rebellion used airspeeders, crappy vs the AT-ATs because 1) They were using blaster cannons, not laser cannons the X-wings would have. 2) Airspeeders were not suitably equipped for the harsh cold of Hoth. 3) Lack of additional anti-vehicular weapons. The radar-looking arrays that fired a beam into each AT-ATs' leg is an anti-vehicle weapon, but it takes time and energy to hurt each leg (or joint), which the Rebels couldn't manage at the time.

They'll probably have some kind of troop transport vehicle. Possibly include teleportation (MPB's in Classic Mod)!

I really don't think they are going to have things like that. SS was a Mech-Warrior type of game. Building Mechs and battleing with them. Not much armor on those guys in the video. And whats up with the goofy bouncy balls?

Those bouncy balls would be the nades . . . I'm hoping they tone them down a bit.

From what I gather in the video clip this is a combination of Tribes and Starsiege. Looks like quite a bit of non-vehicle play, inside and outside of bases, as well as vehicle options. Vehicle options seem to include a jet of some kind, a buggy, and some Mechs.

Looks alright by me. I could handle driving around in a Mech instead of a Tank. And the video clip "does" show a teleporter.
