Thats the way it is in Wolfenstien: Enemy Territory. I didnt mind it at the time

yeah if you want somewhat of a clue what etqw will be like i recommend looking into wolfenstien enemy territory, your right the ranking system in 2142 and bf2 spoiled us, but the player base of et and now quake would go nuts if it had 2142/bf2s unlock system.

It does add more balance, as of right now balance in 2142 is somewhat of a myth hehe.
